European Sales Manager – D.A.CH Region

Automotive Aftermarket

 

A Sales Manager is required to lead, manage and coach a direct European Field Sales team for a leading
provider of automotive solutions.  Must be energetic, driven and motivated with the
ability to lead a successful direct
sales
team within the automotive
sector.

 

Must be fluent in English and German, other
European languages will be advantageous. 
This role is in excess of 85% field based therefore regular travel
throughout the above European Region required.

 

(Circa €85k) + Bonus + Company Car

 

Office Based – Cologne

Ideal Location – Köln, Düsseldorf, Duisburg, Bonn, Leverkusen, Bergisch Gladbach, Solingen

 

The Role

 

Reporting to the International Sales
Director, the European Sales Manager
is a key leadership role forming part of the European Senior management team.

 


  • Responsible for the successful leadership and management of the international field
    sales team in order to meet or exceed sales targets

  • Leading, managing, coaching and working with external sales representatives
    selling directly to end users (automotive garages and workshops) and
    authorised resellers and distributors.

  • Creating, documenting and managing daily and
    weekly sales activities.

  • Implementation and reinforcement of policies,
    processes and procedures.

  • The Sales
    Manager
    is accountable for the performance of the European D.A.CH
    sales team and is expected to provide reporting and advice on
    opportunities for growth and increased performance.

 

The Candidate

 

 

  • We seek an energetic, driven,
    motivated Sales Manager who can
    inspire a sales team to exceed targets.

  • Knowledge and experience of selling
    to the automotive aftermarket,
    automotive workshops and repairers or distributors of aftermarket products will
    be advantageous.

  • Ideally educated to degree level.

  • A proven Business or Sales Manager
    with a minimum of 3/4 years’ experience.

  • The ability to manage and lead a
    direct sales team.

  • Business acumen, with a high degree
    of financial and analytical skills is required.

  • The ability to manage change and
    continuous improvement are a must for this position.

  • Must be fluent in English and German.  Spanish, Italian
    and French language skills are also an advantage.

  • This position will include extensive
    travel throughout the assigned European region for meetings, trade shows and
    events.
